NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF GREENEVERS, NORTH CAROLINA
PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Greenevers will hold a public hearing on September 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Greenevers Community Center located at 494 Clinic Circle Drive, Rose Hill, North Carolina, to consider a proposed amendment to the Town of Greenevers Zoning Ordinance.
The proposed text amendment would amend the Town of Greenevers Zoning Ordinance to:
1. Add a definition for “Substance Abuse Recovery Support Home”;
2. Amend Section 8.7, R-10 Residential District, to add a Substance Abuse Recovery Support Home as a permitted use;
3. Amend Section 8.9, MU Mixed Use District, to add a Substance Abuse Recovery Support Home as a permitted use; and
4. Amend Section 8.10, List of Permitted and Conditional Uses, to identify a Substance Abuse Recovery Support Home as a permitted use in the R-10 Residential and MU Mixed Use zoning districts.
The Board of Commissioners may consider the proposed amendment as submitted, as well as modifications to the proposed text consistent with the subject matter of the amendment.
All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and provide comments concerning the proposed zoning ordinance text amendment.
A copy of the proposed amendment is available for public inspection at Greenevers Town Hall during normal business hours.
